Presenter:  Brian Freedman, Ph.D.

Clinical Director

Center for Autism and Related Disorders

at Kennedy Krieger Institute

In this presentation, Dr. Freedman will discuss a recent study examining the relationship status of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders.  The most commonly cited statistic regarding divorce rates for parents of children with ASD is 80%.  However, there is no research to support this statistic and our findings suggest that parents of children with autism remain married at a much higher rate.

Audience:  Parents and family members of children on the autism spectrum
